The C3 Chevrolet Corvette, launched in 1968, represented a dramatic departure from its predecessors, introducing the iconic "coke bottle" styling inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car. For a full 15 years, it captivated buyers, becoming one of the longest-running and most recognizable generations of the American sports car. The 1978 model year was particularly significant, marking the Corvette's 25th anniversary and serving as the first year for the fastback glass rear window, a design cue that instantly modernized its profile and improved cargo space. This pivotal year also saw the introduction of the pace car replica, further cementing the C3's place in automotive lore. This particular 1978 Chevrolet Corvette coupe presents as a remarkably preserved example of the anniversary year, showing an incredibly low 11,253 miles on the odometer. Under the hood lies the venerable 350ci V8 engine, paired with a smooth automatic transmission, offering the quintessential Corvette cruising experience. Given its exceptional mileage, this Corvette stands as a testament to careful ownership and offers a rare glimpse into what these cars were like when new. This is an opportunity to acquire a time capsule from a landmark year in Corvette history.
