The C3 Corvette, launched in 1968, represented a dramatic evolution in styling for Chevrolet's halo sports car. Its iconic "Coke bottle" silhouette, inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car, defined the era and became synonymous with American performance and style. By 1977, the C3 was in its ninth model year, having navigated shifting automotive landscapes and increasingly stringent regulations. This year marked a significant milestone as the Corvette surpassed the Ford Mustang in annual sales for the first time, a testament to its enduring appeal and Chevrolet's commitment to continuous refinement. While the earlier big-block engines had faded, the small-block V8 continued to offer a compelling blend of power and everyday usability, keeping the Corvette at the forefront of the American sports car scene. This 1977 example embodies the classic C3 experience, presented in a crisp Classic White finish complemented by a Buckskin Tan leather interior. Showing just 64,000 miles, this Corvette retains its numbers-matching L48 350 cubic-inch V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission, ensuring an authentic driving experience. Equipped with desirable features such as air conditioning (converted to R134a), power steering, power brakes, tilt-telescopic steering, and power windows, it offers a comfortable and engaging ride. The car's excellent paint and original interior speak to its careful preservation, further enhanced by the presence of its original dealer paperwork from Outz Chevrolet in Winder, Georgia, owner history, and maintenance receipts. This is an opportunity to acquire a well-preserved piece of Corvette history, ready for its next chapter on the open road.
