The C3 Chevrolet Corvette, introduced in 1968, marked a radical departure from its predecessors with its iconic "Coke bottle" styling, heavily influenced by the Mako Shark II concept car. This third generation would become one of the longest-running Corvette iterations, evolving through the muscle car era into the 1970s. The 1972 model year is particularly significant as it was the last to feature both front and rear chrome bumpers, and the final year for the removable rear window on coupes, before safety and emissions regulations began to significantly alter the car's aesthetic and performance. It represented a peak of raw, unadulterated American power before the oil crisis and stricter environmental controls took hold. This specific 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible embodies that powerful legacy, boasting a formidable 454 cubic inch engine paired with a manual transmission, offering a truly engaging driving experience. With 0 miles indicated, this Corvette presents a unique opportunity, suggesting a vehicle prepared for its next chapter, whether that's meticulous restoration, a custom build, or perhaps even a fresh start to accumulate its first miles. For the enthusiast seeking a potent, open-air classic from a pivotal year in Corvette history, this convertible offers an exceptional foundation.
