The third-generation Corvette, known internally as the C3, arrived in 1968, dramatically reshaping the iconic American sports car. Inspired by the Mako Shark II concept, its distinctive "Coke bottle" waistline, sweeping fenders, and removable T-top roof panels quickly made it a cultural icon. The 1972 model year holds particular significance as it marked the final year for chrome front and rear bumpers, a removable rear window, and the fiber-optic lamp monitoring system, making it a highly sought-after example of the early C3 era before emissions regulations began to significantly impact performance and styling. This particular 1972 Corvette Coupe exemplifies the enduring appeal of the chrome-bumper C3. Showing a remarkably low 41,000 miles, it retains the coveted 350 cubic inch V8 engine paired with a proper manual transmission, offering an engaging and authentic driving experience. The car presents in excellent condition, a testament to its careful stewardship over the past five decades. This is a prime opportunity to acquire a well-preserved piece of Corvette history.
