The C3 Corvette, launched in 1968, represented a radical departure from its predecessors, introducing a dramatic "coke bottle" design inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car. Its sculpted, aggressive lines and long hood quickly cemented its status as an American icon. The 1972 model year marked a significant point in C3 history, being the last year for both front and rear chrome bumpers and the removable rear window, making it particularly desirable among collectors who appreciate the purity of its early design. While increasingly constrained by new emissions regulations, the '72 still offered a range of potent V8 engines, upholding the Corvette's reputation for performance and style. This particular 1972 Chevrolet Corvette takes that classic foundation and elevates it with a thoughtful restomod transformation. Beneath its striking Pewter Silver paint, a modern heart beats: a potent 5.7-liter LS1 V8 engine, delivering exhilarating power and contemporary reliability. This formidable powerplant is expertly paired with a T56 6-speed manual transmission, offering a truly engaging driving experience that perfectly complements the C3's timeless sports car appeal. With a mere 7,724 miles showing, this custom coupe presents in excellent condition, its sleek exterior matched by a clean black interior. This is an exceptional opportunity to own a meticulously upgraded C3 Corvette that seamlessly blends vintage allure with modern performance.
