The 1968 Corvette marked the dawn of the legendary C3 generation, a radical departure from its C2 predecessor. Inspired by the Mako Shark II concept car, its dramatic, curvaceous "coke bottle" styling, hidden headlamps, and removable T-tops (on coupes) instantly set it apart. Launched amidst the cultural ferment of the late 1960s, the C3 quickly became an icon of American performance and style, enduring for 15 model years and becoming the longest-running Corvette generation. This first-year C3 is particularly significant, representing the purest expression of Zora Arkus-Duntov's vision for a more aerodynamic and aggressive Corvette. This particular 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible arrives in excellent condition, showing just 21,247 miles on the odometer. Under the hood lies a potent 350 V8 engine, paired with a desirable manual transmission, offering an engaging driving experience that connects the driver directly to the road. The convertible body style amplifies the visceral thrill, allowing occupants to fully immerse themselves in the sound and sensation of this classic American muscle car. This is an opportunity to acquire a pristine example of the C3 Corvette's foundational year, ready to be driven and cherished.
