The Austin-Healey 3000 stands as an icon of British motoring, a quintessential roadster that captured the spirit of the 1960s with its handsome styling and robust performance. Launched in 1959, the "Big Healey" evolved through several iterations, culminating in the MkIII (BJ8) in 1963. This final, most refined version boasted a more powerful 2.9-liter inline-six engine, developing 148 horsepower, and featured luxuries like roll-up windows and a more accommodating cockpit, making it a capable grand tourer as well as a thrilling sports car. Its enduring appeal is cemented by its rallying successes and its status as one of the most beloved British open-top cars ever produced. This 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII represents the pinnacle of the model's development and presents an exceptional opportunity. With a mere 18,000 original miles documented from just two owners, this convertible is a remarkably preserved example. The original Austin-Healey engine, paired with its factory manual transmission, promises an authentic driving experience that connects the driver directly to the road. This is a chance to acquire a meticulously maintained piece of automotive history, ready for its next chapter on the open road.
