The Shelby Cobra. A name synonymous with raw American power, British roadster elegance, and Carroll Shelby's audacious vision to stuff a thunderous V8 into a lightweight AC Ace chassis. Born in the early 1960s, the Cobra quickly became an icon on and off the track, famously battling – and often beating – Ferrari in international sports car racing. Its untamed spirit and visceral driving experience cemented its place as one of the most desirable and recognizable performance cars ever conceived, a legend that continues to captivate enthusiasts to this day. This particular 1965 Backdraft Cobra Convertible pays faithful tribute to that enduring legacy, meticulously recreating the magic of the original with modern enhancements for a truly exhilarating drive. Showing just 873 miles, this example is practically fresh from the build, presenting in exceptional condition. Under the hood lies a potent 427 cubic inch V8, paired with a crisp 5-speed manual transmission, delivering an intoxicating symphony of power and engagement that is pure, unadulterated Cobra. This is an opportunity to own a meticulously crafted homage to one of motoring's greatest legends, ready to deliver an unparalleled open-air driving experience.
