1964 Chevrolet Corvette - Bloomington Gold Award-Winning - Riverside Red - 365hp In 1964, the second year of the C2 generation, Chevrolet placed renewed focus on the ride quality and refined performance of the Corvette. The '64 model received a single-pane back window - eliminating the polarizing split window of 1963 - while losing the simulated air intakes on its hood and gaining a genuinely functional air intake on the left rear pillar. Chevrolet took significant strides to improve the comfort of the Sting Ray's ride without diminishing its performance credentials, adding progressive-rate springs and completely redesigned shocks.
